Dr. Terhes is a board certified general surgeon. He earned his medical degree in 1998 from Oregon Health and Science University, in Portland, Oregon. He also completed his internship and general surgery residency at Oregon Health and Sciences University. He has practiced General Surgery in the Eugene/Springfield area since 2004. Dr. Terhes performs a variety of general surgery operations including hernia, gallbladder, colon, and has a special interest in thyroid and parathyroid surgery and sees patients at Avanté Surgical.
Dr. Terhes has served as Chief of Staff at McKenzie Willamette Medical Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and member of Oregon Medical Association and the Lane County Medical Society.
Dr. Terhes grew up in Salem, OR, is married, and has two children and two dogs. He enjoys traveling, hiking/geocaching, music, reading to his children, cooking, video games, and sports. He is an avid sportsman with special interests in golf, baseball and football.
